So here is what we're doing now. We are having a meeting with a local cemetery full of history and beatiful monuments on setting up a work exchange program. In this program each investigator will be donating 10-15 hours a month to helping mantain the cemetery. Mostly this will be spent picking up litter and hopefully cleaning headstones.
In return for this work P.I.A will be allowed to come and go as we please in the cemetery and will be using it as a training ground for new investigators, and for the entire team when we get new equipment or are trying out new techniques. We will also be doing walking tours of the historical graves. At this time we do not have much information on how this will be set up but we'll give you as much as we can.
First off the tours will hopefully start up early to mid May. There is a $5 minimum donation for the tours, and they will last anywhere from a half hour to forty five minutes. On the tour a group of 5 will be led through the cemetery by two investigators, and given history on the headstones focused on in the tour and the people that are buried there. These are mostly tours for people interested in history, though we will also give brief accounts of any activity we have experience there, and brief explinations about how we investigate and use our equipment.
There will also be a variety of tours, ranging from Kansas Historical Figures, Civil War soldiers, National historical figures, and possibly others. What this means is that there will be a new tour for three months and then we will start over. Until the month of October.
The month of October is a special case as we hope to be giving haunted tours then. We will start the first weekend of October and go right up until Halloween weekend. These will be very interesting and exciting but We can't give much information out about them right now. Just keep looking for them.
Next project is coming to fruition in April. Four Investigators will be going to Fredericksburg Virginia, to attend a convention there. We will also have the oppurtunity to do a battlefield Investigation at the sites of the Battles of Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville. So be looking for news on that.
Those are our current projects, We'll be keeping this updated as often as possible to keep everyone abreast of what's going on. Also sometime soon we will be getting a new website design. So keep looking back for that also.
