EVP Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP): These are the recordings of a persons voice thought to be deceased. The voices on these recordings are at a megahertz level that no human voice can replicate. The voices have been known to respond best to a 'question and answer' format as well. Ghostly answers to questions can sometimes be heard when recording is taking place, but are usually found later, when analyzing the recordings. (taken from HauntedVoices.com, see link page)

The voice recorder can be one of the most usefull tools an investigator can have. However, there are drawbacks and the four EvP examples below show those drawbacks very clearly. On 3 of them you will hear an evp but you will also notice that there investigator voices over them. This is our fault in that we weren't allowing enough time for the spirits to answer our questions. This can happen and we learn from those experiences. Now we allow longer amounts of time for spirits to answer. All four of these came from the same location, however, to avoid potential problems I will not be sharing the name or address of the location.

You will most likely need to turn your volume up to hear these.

Go Something This evp sounds like a male whisper you can clearly hear it say go, but after that it's hard to understand. Todd Bates from Haunted Voices helped me analyze this one and it was captured at 187.5 Hz which is below normal human hearing range. You'll also hear Gloria one of our investigators speaking.

John or Kill you This one is a bit of a debate, it sounds like the same voice as the one saying "Go" but what it's saying is a bit of a question. Again Todd Bates helped with the analysis and he believes it is saying "John", my wife and I listen to it and hear it say "Kill You" decide for yourself what you hear. What I can say is that it was captured at 124Hz so again it was below human range.

Hello Again a hard one to understand, though we do all agree it sounds like a child saying "Hello". It was captured at 215 HZ.

Can you hear me? This one is a bit more clear than the others. You can clearly hear a woman's voice say "Can you hear me?" you can also hear Jerry who is one of our Lead Investigators. This one was captured at 86.1 Hz.
