Well being in Houston, I'm no stranger to the otherworldy. Most of it
isolated incedents, and some it is connected through other things. Two
in particular however is the Loop 610 and another major highway 2920.
610 just loves to mess with people. You
can be on her for about 20 minutes and have gone all the way around the
loop, or you can be on for about 2 hours and not have made much
distance. Sometimes she won't let you off either. Though, she tends to
not mess with ones that are, how should I say it, a little long in the
tooth, but sometimes she'll take a liking to someone and try and keep
them on. It's a fun experience when getting on the loop, and you'll
never really know what is going to happen each time.
2920 is a special one for me, mainly
because I have had the most experience with it. I say it, because I
have absolutely no idea what it is. This one pretty much has it out for
me at the moment, and has been dealt with on several occasions, which
only pisses it off even more. It has tried completely draining me,
making me wreck, fall asleep at the wheel, and others. If my scent is
on a freinds car, it will even try and mess with them a little bit, but
not much. It has been idle for a little bit, due to a little bind put
on it, but it's still really really pissed off. Of course, I think that
may be my fault, since I have a thing for challenging things I really
shouldn't.
Ok I have another one. Well sort of.
It's more of a mistake than anything else. Keep in mind this based
partialy on belief and other things. So some might understand, and
others will just look at me like I'm insane.
Well, at first let me say that I can no
longer go into the woods anymore. Simply because of this: You know that
feeling you get that something always watching you. And in this
feeling, you know you are safe unless you are stupid enough to name it,
which in turn will give it power and being. Well, I was walking along
in the woods randomly, as I always used to and something caught me off
gaurd. In this, I turned and said a name of something I shouldn't have.
I don't recall what it was I said, but still I named it none the less,
and as a result, I will not go into the woods due to fear and what not.

Well I must say that I have had my first paranormal encounter that I
could remember. Since this was the first time I encountered a sprit,
man was I freaked.
Ok so this is the story.
Last night after finishing work, it’s
about 11:30, I was on my way home, I work in Laval and take auto route
15 then the 640 home. Well on the 640 not more the 2 km from my house,
I was in the left lane doing about 115 km/h when I see these two lights
in my review mirror, I figure its some kid in a civic racing. I move to
the right lane and the lights follow suit then I start to hear
something like the rev of the engine, like a 4 cylinder engine going at
its top speed, and figure the kids trying to get me to race him.
The lights grow more intense like the person puts on their high-beams.
I flick that little switch on my mirror so that the dimmer side is on,
but the lights intensity is still the same, this is where I started to
wonder what the fuck was going on. The car is still gaining on me so I
am like is he gonna crash into me or pull some stupid racing trick.
When the car should be close enough that my rear lights shine onto the
hood I see nothing this really freaked me out.
Finally I am bracing myself for the car to hit me when bam it’s gone
like it went right through the car. I look around and don’t see any
cars or anything. This all took place in less then 5 minutes, but it
was the longest five minutes I ever faced.
I got home safe without any incidents, and find out this morning at
school that there was a major accident around that place ten years ago.
What is really weird is that I have driven through that spot at that
time hundreds of times but this is the first time that I have had that
experience.
Freaky anyways yeah that’s my story.
Well this isn't my own but it happened to my brother so what the hell I'll tell it.
Ok to set the scene you frist have to
know that my brothers old room is right across the hall from the
bathroom not even a meter is between the two doors, my room is right
after the bathroom and my parents across from mine. Now for the story
One night after a late night movie my
brother, 9, and I, 10, head off to bed, its about 2 to 2:30. I sleep
with my door close cause i like the dark. Not sure how long after I
fell asleep but i hear this scream right, the one where you know
something is wrong. I jump out of bed open my door and come face to
face with my mother who has this look of "What the Fuck" and my dad is
in my brothers room trying to calm him down. After we calm him down and
make sure everything is alright we all go to bed, brother said he had a
nightmare.
The next day everything seems cool
another late night movie and bed about the same time as yesterday, but
this time my brothers like "Phil you mind staying in my room tonight?"
I said sure why not. Go to bed nothing happens this night.
Fast forward a week later. No late night movie normal bed time 10ish,
stupid school, and at about 1 am My brother screams again. Everyone up
what the fuck? and my brother is freaking out. My mom goes in trying to
calm him down not working so they all go to the kitchen sit down, and
talk about it.
I learn the next day that my borther
saw a figure getting out of the toilet when he was about to go use it,
and that he has been seeing it on and off for the last two weeks. The
only nights he screamed was because the first time he said his name
"Christopher" and the second time was he said hi name and move towards
his room.
Now a few years
have past and that bathroom door was always closed until my brother
moved in to the old office room downstairs, we haven't heard anything
from the thing or as my brother calls it "the Bathroom guy".

I was about 10 years old, spending Christmas with my aunt in Jersey.
She lived about a mile or so west of Leeds Point (Not sure distance
from the other suposed "birth sites"). It was about 3am or so, and I
had come downstairs early to sneak into the presents (I was a bad kid,
sue me), and I walked into the kitchen. My aunt's house had a big deck
out back, which at the time was covered in snow (Snow? In Jersey? In
December? Go on.). The big glass double doors to get out there were
visible from the kitchen, and as I come into sight of them, I see this
thing on the deck. Now, I'm 10, but I'm still almost 5' or so, and this
thing was roughtly a foot or so shorter than I was, though it was
crouched over. I'd have to say it was a dark brown to almost black in
color, with gleaming eyes. It fit the general description you hear,
long horse-face, wings on it's back, etc. At the time, my aunt had a
dog who always slept next to those double doors, and his bed had even
been moved to there. But he was nowhere to be seen at the time (This is
important later on). So this thing is walking arround, and what freaked
me out was, it walked like the creature from my Asylum nightmare (I'll
be putting this up later on in the dreams thread in A&E), using
it's arms and legs, though its legs were bent back. So I'm standing
there watching this thing, and suddenly my aunts dog lets out a howl
from upstairs. The thing shrieks like a damn banshee and takes off, as
in airborn. I have NEVER heard a noise like it made before, nor ever
since. It woke up the whole house, and I was blamed for the noise. But
I went outside to look where it had been, and there were tracks in the
snow. Some were of hooves, but where the front hands had been, there
were what looked like human handprints, but with fingers way longer
than they should have been.
Quick note, though it's suposed to be a "devil," I felt no actual malice from the thing. Extra weirdness.
Freaky
stuff, eh? It's this experience that got me into paranormal stuff in
the first place. That, and my aunt actualy believed me. Said it's
happened before, she'd heard the shriek at least 2 other times.
So in addition to the Jersey Devil thing, I've got a few more.
Drama Department Cats
So back at highschool, our drama department had some ghost kitties. We
figure there were about 4, two black cats we never saw without one
another, a white cat, and a tabby. The white one was the most obvious
about it's presence. For example, my sophomore year, the drama class is
up on the mini stage we use for practice and speaches and whatnot, and
the white cat is just sitting on the table watching us. Most of the
class saw it, including the teacher. It proceded to yawn, stretch out,
then hop off the table and vanish before it hit the ground. The tabby
was a new one we only saw my senior year, and the black "twins" are the
oldest. One of our teachers, who was arround when the building was
brand-new, said that they appeared shortly after the drama wing was
completed, about 2 years after the rest of the school. They're useful
though, the drama wing has absolutly no issues with mice or rodents in
general, while the rest of the school... Well, we sit on a feild full
of mice, and we don't have the best system of keeping them out. In the
winter, the ones who can, rush the school. Lotsa mice durring the winter
Walhalla Drive
I told ovaries this one in IRC a while back, but there's a new addition
to it. So, there's a street not far from here called Walhalla that's
haunted. Specificaly, there's a bridge that runs right above a
particular house that is haunted. According to the stories, in either
the 1870's or the 1970's (The house itself looks like it's from the
1870's, but it's hard to tell), the man who lived in that house caught
his wife having an affair. So he hung her, her lover, and his 2
children from the bridge over their house, then hung himself from a
tree next to the actual house. Now, here's where it gets weird:
Supposedly, if you drive under the bridge and try to break, you don't
even coast, you actualy speed up. And at a certain time of night, you
can suposedly hear the couple arguing from the house, then the children
screaming as they're dragged up to the bridge. Another thing is the
tree the husband hung himself from, it's dead except for one branch,
which is suposedly the one he hung from. So, I had to pick up a friend
a while back, and my route took me down Walhalla (it's one-way, too,
which is sorta irrelivant, but it irritated me). As I'm driving, I'm
looking for the house in question. Well, it's hard to miss it, the
bridge is huge. So I try the break thing, and it turns out it's true, I
sped up with my foot on the break, on an uphill climb. Also, I got a
look at the tree, and it does have only one living branch. As for the
rest of it, I was passing through during the daytime, so I heard
nothing. But I'd like to go back and conduct a proper investigation of
the place.
